Terms of Service
General Terms and Conditions and SaaS Subscription Agreement for LockMyCal
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Welcome to LockMyCal. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the contractual relationship between the operator of the LockMyCal platform (the "Provider" or "we") and the natural or legal person using the service (the "User" or "you").
By registering, activating a subscription or using the LockMyCal service in any way, you confirm that you have read these Terms, understand them and agree to them in full.
1. Definitions
- LockMyCal Service (or the "Service"): Cloud software and web interface for managing, securing, synchronizing and automating calendar bookings and related workflows, including third-party integrations.
- User Account: A secure virtual space created for the User after registration, protected by login credentials.
- User's Client: A third party (e.g. an end customer or business partner) who arranges a meeting or event through the User's booking link.
- Subscription: The User's time-limited right to use the features of the Service within the selected plan.
2. Account Registration and Security
- Creating an account: Registration is required to use the Service in full. The User must provide true, current and complete identification and contact details.
- Protecting credentials: The User is fully responsible for keeping their passwords confidential.
- Responsibility for activity: All activity carried out under the User Account is deemed to be the User's activity, unless the theft of login credentials was reported to the Provider in time.
- Age requirement: The Service is intended solely for persons over 18 years of age, or persons with full legal capacity to enter into contractual obligations.
3. Plans, Subscriptions and Payments
- Plans and pricing: LockMyCal is offered in the Free and Pro plans. The current features and prices are always listed on the Pricing page.
- Free trial: The Provider offers a one-time 14-day trial of the Pro plan without a payment card, which the User starts in the Subscription section. If no paid plan is activated when it expires, the account moves to the Free plan.
- Billing period and automatic renewal: The subscription is concluded for a fixed term (monthly or yearly) and renews automatically for another equal term unless the User cancels it before the end of the current billing cycle.
- Payment processing: Payments are processed through a certified payment gateway (e.g. Stripe). The Provider does not store full payment card numbers.
- Plan changes (Upgrade / Downgrade):
- When moving to a higher plan (Upgrade), the new features become available immediately and the price difference is charged pro rata.
- When moving to a lower plan (Downgrade), the change takes effect at the start of the next billing period.
- Cancellation and refunds:
- The User may cancel the subscription at any time in the account settings. After cancellation, the Service stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
- Fees paid for a started billing period are not refunded as a rule, except where expressly required by applicable consumer protection law.
- End of the Pro plan: When the Pro plan ends (cancellation, non-payment or end of the trial), connected calendars above the Free plan limit are paused and the custom username and custom meeting type links revert to their defaults. The User's data is kept.
4. Acceptable Use
The User agrees not to misuse the Service and to follow these rules when using it:
- No illegal activity: The Service must not be used to send unsolicited mail (spam), for fraudulent practices (phishing), to spread malicious code (malware) or to break the law.
- Infrastructure and API limits: The User must not carry out activities that place an unreasonable load on the Provider's servers, circumvent rate limits or run unauthorized load tests.
- System integrity: Reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting unauthorized access to the source code or databases of the Service is prohibited.
In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these rules, the Provider may immediately suspend or close the User Account without a refund of the subscription.
5. Data Ownership and Intellectual Property
- User data: The User remains the sole owner of all data, texts, calendar events and contacts they put into the Service. The Provider acquires no ownership rights to this data and handles it solely to operate the Service.
- Provider's intellectual property: The web interface, graphic design, source code, documentation, logos and trademarks of LockMyCal are the exclusive intellectual property of the Provider and are protected by copyright law.
- Export and portability: The User can export their calendar data at any time in the standard open iCal (.ics) format.
6. Service Availability, Maintenance and SLA
- Availability target: The Provider uses its best commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service running continuously and without errors, targeting 99.9% availability.
- Planned maintenance: The Provider may carry out planned technical downtime for maintenance and updates. Such downtime is preferably scheduled at night and Users are informed in advance.
- Third-party services: The Provider is not liable for temporary outages caused by external services (e.g. Google Calendar API, Microsoft 365, payment gateways or hosting infrastructure).
7. Limitation of Liability
- Provided "as is": The Service is provided without any express or implied warranties beyond statutory obligations.
- Exclusion of indirect damages: The Provider is not liable for lost profits, lost business opportunities, loss of data or indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
- Financial cap: The Provider's total liability to the User for all claims arising in connection with the Service is limited to the amount the User actually paid for the subscription in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the damage.
8. Termination and Data Deletion
- Termination by the User: The User may end the contract at any time by deleting their account in Profile settings → Danger zone. This cancels upcoming meetings, notifies their participants and refunds paid bookings.
- Termination by the Provider: The Provider may terminate the contract or block the account if these Terms are breached or a free account is inactive for a long time.
- Data deletion: After an account is closed, all personal and calendar data is irreversibly removed from all production databases within 30 days, except for data the Provider must archive under tax and accounting regulations.
9. Changes to the Terms and Final Provisions
- Updates: The Provider reserves the right to change these Terms to a reasonable extent. Users will be informed of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
- Severability: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms does not affect the validity of the other provisions.
- Governing law: These Terms and all legal relationships arising from them are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
- Contact information: If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at info@lockmycal.app.
